WHICH INFRARED SAUNA IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Chakra Wellness has four infrared sauna models, and the right one really comes down to two questions: how many people need to fit, and whether you want full-spectrum or low-EMF far infrared heat.

FULL SPECTRUM VS FAR INFRARED

Full spectrum (RadiantZen Standard and Premium) combines near, mid, and far infrared heaters in one cabin, giving you the benefits of all three wavelength ranges:

  • Near infrared — the shortest wavelength, working closest to the skin's surface. Commonly associated with skin health and supporting the body's natural cell repair processes.

  • Mid infrared — penetrates deeper into muscle and soft tissue. Commonly associated with easing muscle and joint discomfort and improving circulation.

  • Far infrared — penetrates deepest, raising core body temperature directly rather than simply heating the air around you. Commonly associated with a deeper sweat, detoxification, and relaxation.

RadiantZen models have glass right across the cabin — front, door, and side panel — rather than just glass across the front. This is a big part of why they're often chosen over GlowZen for their open, spacious feel.

The colour differs by model: Standard has clear glass throughout, while Premium has dark-tinted glass throughout.

GlowZen and CedarZen use far infrared only and are also built low-EMF, with solid timber cladding on the sides rather than glass.

It's not purely an EMF decision, though. Going FIR-only is a genuinely different sauna experience, not simply a lower-EMF version of full spectrum.

FIR-only models typically take around 10–20% longer to heat up than full-spectrum models. However, many people find the heat itself more comfortable and experience a deeper sweat, as far infrared penetrates deep into the body without the more intense surface warmth that near infrared adds in full-spectrum models.

Both models use the same full-spectrum heater layout and the same full-glass cabin — front, door, and side panel — in different finishes:

  • Standard — clear glass throughout, with standard-grade full-spectrum and carbon heaters.
